Requirements
Must:
Architecture & Engineering
Design and implement core backend components, including APIs, messaging systems, authentication, wallet integrations, and data services.
Make key architectural decisions and set engineering standards.
Stay informed about blockchain and distributed system trends, identifying opportunities for innovation.
Team Leadership
Provide technical and people leadership to a team of engineers.
Oversee hiring, mentorship, performance reviews, and professional development.
Promote a high-performance engineering culture centered on accountability and continuous improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with infrastructure, security, and product stakeholders to ensure solutions are aligned with broader technical and business goals.
Break down product requirements into executable engineering plans.
Hands-On Contribution
Spend a meaningful portion of time writing and reviewing code (30–40% expected).
Troubleshoot, refactor, and optimize backend systems for performance and reliability.
Participate in incident response and lead post-incident reviews to strengthen system resilience.
Responsibilities
6+ years of backend or systems engineering experience, with 2+ years in a leadership or management role.
Strong programming skills in languages such as Go, Rust, Java, or Python.
Experience designing and maintaining distributed backend systems, ideally in blockchain or related environments.
Understanding of cryptographic principles, consensus mechanisms, or other blockchain technologies is a strong plus.
Proven ability to manage engineering teams while remaining technically hands-on.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
