If you are a Customer who is a natural person conducting business activity and you are acting on your own behalf, your personal data shall be processed to achieve the following purposes:

  • taking actions before concluding a contract or aiming to conclude a contract, including preparation of an offer and conducting negotiations, on the basis of Article 6(1)(b) of the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 (General Data Protection Regulation) (hereinafter referred to as: GDPR), for the time necessary to finish negotiation process, and in case such contract or agreement is concluded – for realisation of rights and obligations resulting from agreement concluded between you and SwissDevJobs (provision of the service) – on the basis of the above-mentioned GDPR provision, for the time of execution of the agreement/contract (until its termination);
  • realisation of SwissDevJobs’ legal obligations, resulting from generally applicable law, including but not limited to tax laws, accounting laws – on the basis of Article 6(1)(c) of GDPR along with provisions of Polish Accounting Act and tax laws. Data shall be processed for this purpose for the time stated in applicable law provisions (i.a. in case of Polish Accounting Act – for 5 years after the end of calendar year, in which the agreement/contract was terminated);
  • to ensure communication and carrying out the process of obtaining funding and improving the flow of information under the contract – on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) of GDPR (pursuing the legitimate interest of SwissDevJobs) – until you successfully object for such processing or until termination of the concluded agreement/contact, whichever occurs first;
  • establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims – on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) of GDPR (pursuing the legitimate interest of SwissDevJobs) – until the limitation of claims resulting from generally applicable law.

If you are a User who is acting on behalf of our Customer (a natural person conducting business activity, legal person or any other legal entity that entered into contract with the SwissDevJobs), your personal data shall be processed for the purpose of realisation (pursuing) the legitimate interest of SwissDevJobs, on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) of GDPR, in form of:

  • taking actions before concluding a contract or aiming to conclude a contract for the provision of services with the Customer (party of agreement) that you represent or who/which indicate you as a contract person for the performance of the contract; and in the case of conclusion of the contract, also for the purpose of performing the contract. The data will be processed until the negotiation process finishes; in the case of conclusion of the contract, your data shall be processed until its full execution or until the Customer dismisses you from your duty as representant of a contact person acting on Customer’s behalf;
  • establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims that may arise or result from conducted negotiations of a contract, and in the case of conclusion of a contract – also ones that result from the implementation of this contract. The data will be processed until the limitation of claims resulting from generally applicable law.

Depending on the scope of additional services that you required from SwissDevJobs, your data may also be processed for the following purposes:

  • if you have subscribed to the Newsletter – your data will also be processed on the basis of the consent given by the fact that you have subscribed via the Newsletter form (Article 6(1)(a) of GDPR) for the purpose of delivering you the Newsletter. You can withdraw your consent at any time, however the withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. Data shall be processed until your consent is withdrawn;
  • if you contact us using the contact form or email addres - SwissDevJobs may collect your personal data and process it for the purposes of:
    • establishing and maintaining contact with you, including providing answers to questions and requests send to SwissDevJobs via form or via e-mail (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR), for the time necessary to execute the contact and provide you with all information you required or until You successfully object for such processing, whichever occurs first;
    • establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR), until the limitation of claims resulting from generally applicable law.

Providing personal data is partially your legal obligation, resulting from the abovementioned laws. Where no legal obligation exists, providing your personal data is voluntary, however it may be necessary to fulfil the abovementioned purposes.

Your personal data may be disclosed to trusted entities cooperating with SwissDevJobs, in particular entities which provide us with their services, including but not limited to: IT support, advisory, consultative and legal services, postal and courier services. Your personal data may also be disclosed to entities entitled to access them by generally applicable law.

You are entitled to access your personal data, their rectification, and under specific conditions provided by law also to demand their erasure, restriction of their processing, to object to their processing and to data portability. You are also entitled to lodge a complaint if you perceive processing your personal data by SwissDevJobs as incompliant with GDPR. The complaint shall be lodged with appropriate supervisory authority, which in Poland, since May 25th, 2018 is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office. If we process your personal data on the basis of your consent or if such consent was given in order to enable us to deliver you marketing information via electronic means, you are also entitled to withdraw given consent at any time, however the withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

Webinar Registration and Marketing Communications

When you register for webinars through our registration forms, by accepting this Privacy Policy you also consent to receive communications from us regarding:

  • Information and updates about the specific webinar event you registered for

In case your data have to be transferred outside European Economic Area (EEA), SwissDevJobs shall undertake all necessary measures to ensure that proper level of security, which guarantees the safety of the data subject (so: you), and all guarantees for privacy protection are met. Removal Of Data

You can at any time request to receive an electronic copy of your data, as well request your data to be removed (deleted); such request should be processed in up to 7 working days.

We use the service of a payment processor - Stripe for credit and debit card transactions.

    Using of the service requires processing of company data (name, address, company specific information, employee contact details, account numbers). The data is processed by SwissDev Greg Janusz Tomasik company and enables proper usage of the SwissDevJobs marketing service.

    Transaction data, including personal data, can be also processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Limited The One Building 1 Grand Canal Street Lower Dublin 2 Co. Dublin Ireland [email protected] in the scopy requried to process an order payment. The client has the right to fully access, amend and request removal of his data. Providing of data is voluntary but required for proper use of the service.

Live chat

We use Tawk.to as the live chat provider.

Talent Portal - Additional Data Processing

If you create a Talent Portal account (available at talentportal.swissdevjobs.ch and other regional variants), additional data processing activities apply beyond those described above.

What is Talent Portal

Talent Portal is a centralized career management platform that allows IT professionals to create one profile with job preferences and set up granular job alerts across our regional job boards. Instead of monitoring multiple job boards manually, users receive email notifications when jobs match their criteria.

Additional Personal Data Collected

When you create and use a Talent Portal account, we collect and process the following additional personal data:

Account & Authentication Data

  • Email address (required, used as unique identifier)
  • Password (securely encrypted - never stored in plain text)
  • First and last name
  • Account verification status

Professional Profile Data

  • Contact information: phone number, location (city, country), remote work preferences
  • Professional information: current job title, experience level, years of experience
  • Skills and technologies with proficiency levels
  • Education history: degrees, institutions, graduation years
  • Work experience: company names, positions, employment dates, job descriptions, technologies used

Job Preferences & Alert Configurations

  • Employment preferences: employment types, salary expectations, work arrangements (remote/hybrid/on-site)
  • Location preferences: preferred countries, cities, states
  • Technology preferences: preferred and excluded technologies, matching modes (AND/OR)
  • Company preferences: company sizes, types, workplace types
  • Job alert configurations: alert names, notification frequencies (instant/daily/weekly), country and location filters, technology filters, experience level filters, language requirements, visa sponsorship requirements

Job Matching & Activity Data

  • Matched job IDs and match timestamps
  • Match interaction status (new/seen/dismissed/saved)
  • Saved jobs with notes, tags, and application status tracking
  • History of jobs sent via email notifications
  • Last login date and profile completeness score

Feedback & Technical Context Data

When you submit feedback through the Talent Portal, we automatically capture technical context to help us diagnose issues and improve the platform:

  • Feedback content: type (bug/feature/rating/general), title, description, rating (optional)
  • Page URL and path where feedback was submitted
  • Browser information (type, version, operating system)
  • Device information (screen resolution, device type)
  • Technical diagnostic data (console errors, network information)
  • Follow-up permission preference

Legal Basis for Processing

We process your Talent Portal data based on the following legal grounds:

Cookies & Session Management

Talent Portal uses secure session cookies for user authentication. These cookies are configured with industry-standard security measures to protect your account. We also store minimal preferences in your browser's local storage (theme preferences, view settings) - this data never leaves your device.

Data Retention for Talent Portal

We retain your personal data for as long as your account remains active. When you request account deletion, we will permanently delete all your related data within a maximum of 7 days. Some data may be automatically cleaned up during regular maintenance to optimize platform performance.

Your Rights Regarding Talent Portal Data

In addition to the rights described earlier, you have the following specific rights for Talent Portal:

  • Access: View your profile data, job preferences, alerts, saved jobs, and feedback history through your account dashboard
  • Rectification: Update your profile, preferences, and alert configurations at any time
  • Erasure: Delete your account entirely via the profile settings (this removes all associated data including alerts, matches, and saved jobs)
  • Restriction: Deactivate specific job alerts without deleting them
  • Objection: Opt out of email notifications per alert or globally
  • Portability: Request an export of your personal data in machine-readable format
  • Withdraw Consent: Unsubscribe from email notifications at any time using the unsubscribe link in emails or through your alert settings

To exercise any of these rights or if you have questions about your Talent Portal data, please contact us at [email protected]. We will respond to your request within 30 days as required by GDPR. For account deletion requests, all data will be permanently removed within 7 days.

Security Measures

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 18 ("Children").

We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Children has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.
