We prioritize flexibility and efficiency, so yes, you can have input into choosing the hardware / operating system that best suits your work style.
Here's a look at our typical coding setup:
We primarily use IntelliJ IDEA for Java development, Visual Studio Code for frontend and full-stack work, and PyCharm for Python projects. Developers are most of the time free to choose their preferred IDE based on project needs.
Operating System: Most of our team members work with Linux (Debian) for development due to its strong support for development tools, but some prefer macOS or Windows, and we accommodate all three. Some projects require specific software only available in certain operating systems (typically Windows).
Build Server: We use Jenkins for Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) pipelines, ensuring efficient and automated testing and building processes.
Cloud Provider: We primarily rely on Microsoft Azure for cloud services, though we also work with AWS and Google Cloud depending on project requirements.

We believe in code reuse through existing frameworks when they fit, as it saves time, leverages proven solutions, and ensures faster development. However, writing our own code allows us to tailor solutions specifically to the project’s needs, ensuring flexibility, scalability, and complete control over the outcome. So we don't always prefer one way or another, what matters is efficiency and results :-)
